Science, DUSEL and HUSEP Information
Scientists (now organized within HUSEP) have proposed that a highly advanced project be built deep in a mine for the study of High Energy Particles (HEP) and other important underground experiments. Henderson Mine, in Colorado, is a location matching all of their requirements.

The proposal is divided into two projects, UNO - a neutrino detector, and DUSEL - an underground physics/geology/geobiology lab. When built, it is the goal of the scientists to ultimately unlock Einsteins final question, The Grand Unification Theory... in otherwords, how does everything in the Universe work. What is it that ties all of physics together.

Other important questions such as what is Dark Matter and Dark Energy, what life exists and what geology will be found deep underground, will be studied.

Chang Kee Jung is a key figure in this project. A brilliant physicist, Chang Kee's goal is to build a neutrino detector (named UNO) capable of unlocking the secrets of the Universe. Chang Kee's Power Point lecture is an excellent explanation of this project and the science behind it. It's a big file (72megs) but well worth the download.

The following links explain the neutrino detector known as UNO. UNO is a giant tank of fluid surrounded by photon detectors. Those are connected to computers running specialised software. When a neutrino hits an atom in the tank it gives of photons. Those are detected and the information is analyzed by the physicists.
The DUSEL side of the project is an underground lab covering many subjects. Among them are Geology, Geotechnical, Geobiological extreme life forms, and other physics experiments.
Henderson Mine (Owned by Phelps/Dodge) is near Empire Colorado. It is the purposed site of the project which is an excellent location in almost every way.
These links are about people and organizations involved in the project as welll as letters of support.
Here, some links explaining the actual physics involved will help you understand what the physicists are trying to accomplish.
These are links to news articles, naratives, acronym explainations and physics discusions.
