The Arapaho Project is currently the only private, non-profit member of the Colorado Alliance for Underground Science and Engineering. (CAUSE) Our purpose is to encourage scientific and educational uses for the Henderson mine located in Clear Creek County Colorado by funding travel, lodging, meetings and promotional materials. In addition, we support various high school groups involved in high energy physics and cosmic ray background studies.
Our success will have many positive outcomes for Colorado and Clear Creek County, including mining jobs, highly skilled professionals and technicians, tourism, research, and educators as required for national and international science facilities and as yet to be determined spin off industries that support the experiments.

The services of the Arapaho Project Board are entirely voluntary, the Project does not lease equipment or office space and the services of supporting individuals are either voluntary or offered at reduced cost. Project Board members travel frequently and meet with local and State officials to widen support for the Arapaho Project’s goals.

We are currently funding a web site and other educational materials, assisting in the cost sharing of an exploratory core drilling at the Henderson mine and normal corporate expenses incurred such as legal fees and office supplies.

Your contributions to the Arapaho Project, a Colorado non-profit corporation, are vital to bringing High Energy Physics (HEP) and a National Underground Science Laboratory (NUSL) to Colorado. We respectfully request donations from private individuals, other non-profits, businesses, and interested parties. As a 501 (c) (3) your contribution to the Arapaho Project is considered a charitable contribution and may be tax deductible.
